CQ Wednesday was packed with entertainment from dawn till dusk. Morning activities brought about everything from making flubber to making body glitter, in addition to the traditional fishing, archery, and canoeing.

After feet’s up the carnival was in full swing. Those strawberries might have looked innocent enough, but many campers and companions can attest to the fact that the strawberries spin faster than they appear. The inflatable slides and the 4-story metal slide showed everyone how powerful gravity is as campers flew down them at record speeds. Some of you discovered how photogenic you are when the cartoon artist drew your animated side while others spent time with some four-legged friends from the kennel club.

As the sun was setting, we all enjoyed a very special rainbow that was created just for CQ! It was a great chance to dance and play in the rainbow! Did anyone catch that rascally little leprechaun running around at the lake?

The younger campers had a visit from a very special guest that most kinds only get to see once a year while a number of campers were colling off at the CQ Pool Party.

Prom was certainly “A Knight to Remember” with the surrounding scenery of the lake and the stars, everyone felt free to dance the night away. And that’s just what they did. From pictures to punch, everything was in perfect order for a great night of fun. Cabin loads were ushered to the affair in true prom style with the limousines. The campers were greeted with a fire lit path to a sparkling lit tent complete with castle and dance floor. The ladies of CQ were dressed to the hilt with stunning gowns and lovely hair. The men of CQ decided to put their own twist on their ensembles Dorm 2 lost their jackets and donned sunglasses while the Dawg Pound ditched the shoes and the ties in favor of hats and ’sneaks. Camper Jack even opted for socks while Gabe showed his country roots in jeans, Regardless of the wardrobe choices, everyone had a great time.
